Curiously, my makeup nerdom started with a simple pink lip gloss…that came in the shape of pink lips. I was just 5 years-old, living in the small town of Freedom, New Hampshire and the lipgloss was a gift from my beautiful mother. She had no idea she was creating a monster (or maybe she did?). I found myself in elementary school using some of my allowance towards face creams and makeup instead of the things that my friends were purchasing. I did get an amazing purple eyeshadow that I put on right before my yearly class picture in the 6th grade…well, it matched my pink and purple striped shirt!

Having red hair and freckles back then had some beauty challenges. I couldn’t look in a magazine to find what cosmetics would look good on a redhead. They simply didn’t bother to consider us then. It was either blonde or brunette. And that’s it. So with that bit of softly-implied rejection, I knew I never wanted anyone else to feel left out like I did, and wanted to be sure everyone felt special. It kind of felt like a calling.

For nearly thirty years in the Boston area, I developed my skills by working with many famous brands, including Kiehl’s Since 1851, Fresh, MAC Cosmetics, Trish McEvoy, Nars Cosmetics, and Clarins, along with other prestigious brands.

In addition to my experience working at The Clarins Skin Spa located within Bloomingdales, I have had the privilege of being part of two renowned "Best of Boston" spas: Grettacole Beauty and Skoah Skin Spa. These opportunities helped me refine my skills and expand my knowledge in beauty and skincare, leading to my working at The Equinox Resort & Day Spa in Manchester after moving to Vermont.

I have showcased my makeup skills in photo shoots, runway shows, and for clients at salons, department stores, and other locations.
